Mark Kuiper

Mark Kuiper is Associate Apprenticeship Director, for the Training and Development Fund at District 1199J in Newark, N.J... He started in 2004 as a part-time ESL and Adult Basic Skills instructor and was asked in 2010 to help spearhead the YTTW Physical Therapy Aide Apprenticeship, which is now a nationally-recognized registered apprenticeship program. Mr. Kuiper assists in writing all grant programs including both YTTW programs and the PACE grant and actively manages and coordinates apprenticeship recruitment, employer engagement, and summer enrichment programs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in German Area Studies with a minor in Political Science from Kenyon College, OH and is currently enrolled at St. Leo University, Fla. in its MSW program. Before coming to the Training Fund, Mr. Kuiper worked at Dow Jones, Inc., Reuters News Group, Market News International, and McGraw Hill in a variety of editorial positions.
